“The Congress cannot sit in their hands as long as a new tax of 10 percent about everything that families buy, and leaves the elderly in limbo until the next flip flip flip flip. Congress needs to approve our Bipartisan bill, put an end to the roller mountain of rates and restore the constitutional authority of the congress on trade,” Wyden said in a statement.
“Abuse emergency powers to impose general tariffs not only increases costs for American families, but also tramples the Constitution. It is time for Congress to require its authority and restore the balance of power,” Paul said in a statement.
