Trump intensifies the war with Harvard: "They are becoming deeper"

President Donald Trump intensified his war with Harvard University on Wednesday, accusing him of “treating the country with great respect” and suggesting that he should stop fighting his policies.

“But Harvard wants to fight. They want to show how intelligent they are and are receiving their A, kicking, Trump told journalists in the Oval office.

“All they are doing is deepen more, more and deeper,” Trump said. “They have to behave themselves.”

The president accused Harvard of being anti -Semitic and taking billions of federal dollars.

“I think they are trying very badly. Every time they fight, they lose another $ 250 million,” Trump said. “Yesterday we found another $ 100 million.”

The president also doubled his claims that the school has registered too many foreign students and has not done enough to make sure they are not “uproar.”

“They are taking people from areas of the world who are very radicalized, we don’t want them to be problems in our country,” Trump said, he added that Harvard should limit their foreign students to 15%.

“We have people who want to go to Harvard and other schools. They can’t enter because we have foreign students there. But I want to make sure foreign students are people who can love our country,” he said.

Last month, the Secretary of National Security, Kristi Noem, sent a letter to Harvard demanding information about each international student with an F-1 visa that allows non-immigrants to study in the United States, warning that not complying with the request would result in the withdrawal of the certification of the student and school exchange program.

Harvard, who has sued the Administration for its funds and subsidies, said in a statement that provided the federal government “thousands of data points related to its entire student population of Visa F-1”. However, last week, Noem announced that he revoked the SUVP certification of the school and prevented that he accepted foreign students.

Harvard filed a lawsuit the next day and a judge granted a temporary order that blocks the move.

When asked about a group of Jewish Harvard students who protested on Tuesday against the threats of the federal government and cuts the perceived anti -Semitism, Trump dismissed their criticisms and reiterated their affirmations of anti -Semitism in Harvard and other elite institutions.

“They are hurting. They are fighting,” Trump said. “You know, Columbia has really been, and they were very, very bad. What they have done that very anti -Semitic and many other things. But they are working with us to find a solution. And, you know, they take it out of that hot seat. But Harvard wants to fight.”
