“Let me be clear: I made decisions during my presidency. I made decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation and proclamations. Any suggestion that was not ridiculous and false,” he said in his statement.

“This is nothing more than a distraction of Donald Trump and the Republicans of Congress who are working to promote disastrous legislation that would reduce essential programs such as Medicaid and increase costs to US families, all to pay fiscal exemptions for ultra -rich and large corporations,” Biden added.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has not directly approached Trump’s directive. A spokesman for the Department of Justice declined to comment when ABC News asked him.
