The Senate confirmed on Monday to Charles Kushner to serve as an ambassador to France and Monaco.
Kushner was confirmed by a 51-45 vote.
President Donald Trump announced his intention to name Kushner for the position in November, calling him a “tremendous business leader, philanthropist, & Dealmaker, who will be a firm defender who represents our country and his interests “, in a statement about social truth.
Kushner was forgiven by Trump during the president’s first mandate for crimes, including federal tax evasion and Fec. Kushner declared himself guilty in 2005 to 18 positions and turned two years in prison.

When Kushner appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee earlier this month for his audience on the position, Kushner told the panel that he had committed “very, very, very serious mistakes.”
But he told the committee that he believed that his mistakes did it “better with my judgment, better in my vision of life, better in my values to really make me more qualified to do this job.”
Kushner is the father of Trump’s son -in -law and former advisor, Jared Kushner.
