Centers for disease control and prevention have issued a FOOD SECURITY ALERT For a Salmonella outbreak, the agency said it is linked to home delivery meals ready to eat made by the company’s metabolic meals, the agency said Friday.
“CDC and public health officials in several states are investigating a multiestatal outbreak of Salmonella infections linked to certain home delivery meals made by metabolic meals,” said the CDC. “Do not eat products of affected metabolic foods while the investigation is ongoing. Check its refrigerator and freezer to see these products and you or communicate with the company.”

From the moment of publication, at least 16 people in 10 states They have become ill of metabolic meals, according to CDC. Of the 15 people with available information, seven have been hospitalized, the agency said.
So far, diseases have been reported in Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin, according to CDC.
No deaths have been reported.
A representative of the metabolic meals did not immediately respond to the request for comments of ABC News.
The CDC said Friday that Metabolic Meals was “collaborating with the researchers and has communicated directly with the clients who bought the types of meals mentioned above to inform them about the outbreak.”

According to the CDCs, customers who ordered and received the following metabolic meals have been urged, delivered during the week of July 28, 2025, not to eat them:
- Tortellini of four cheese with pesto sauce and grilled chicken: Lot 25199 code and a “better for” date of August 7, 2025.
- Low chicken in teriyaki and vegetable carbohydrates: Lot 25202 code and a “better for” date of August 5, 2025.
- Black garlic And chicken tenders in ranch with roasted vegetables: Lot 25205 code and a “better for” date of August 8, 2025.
- Upper sliced slicing with roasted peanut sauce and summer vegetables: Lot 25203 code and a “better for” date of August 6, 2025.
Additional Lot Codes affected include 25199, 25202, 25203, 25204 and 25205.

Salmonella are bacteria that cause around 1.35 million infections in the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
People can infect with Salmonella after swallowing bacteria, or after touching animals, animals of animals and “placing animals live and wanders,” according The agency.
“Although scientists have identified more than 2,500 serotypes (types) of Salmonella, less of 100 types cause most human diseases,” says CDC.
What are the symptoms of Salmonella?
Most people infected with Salmonella may experience a variety of symptoms that include abdominal pain, fever, headache, aqueous diarrhea that can also have blood or mucus, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, according to CDC.
The symptoms usually begin from six hours to six days after swallowing the bacteria.
People generally recover without treatment after four or seven days, says the CDC.
Some people, particularly children under 5 years old or over 65, or those with weakened immune systems may experience “more serious diseases that require medical or hospitalization,” says CDC.
