According to authorities, one person is dead after a U-Haul truck appears to have accidentally exploded in a parking lot in Idaho early Saturday morning.
The explosion caused damage within the blast radius, including a Courtyard Marriott and Old Navy, according to the Lewiston Fire Department. and the City of Lewiston Police Department.

Initial findings indicate the vehicle was transporting stored materials, including flammable items such as gasoline and propane tanks, according to officials.
“At this time, there is no indication that the incident is criminal in nature,” Lewiston Fire Chief Julian Sorrell said in a statement.
There was no fire after the explosion, authorities said.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
