The former prosecutor of the Southern District of New York, Maurene Comey, alleged in a lawsuit on Monday that her dismissal of the United States prosecutor’s office was “illegal and unconstitutional” and probably happened who his father is.
Comey, who prosecuted high profile defendants, including Sean Combs, Robert Hadden, Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, was fired in July.
His claim said that President Donald Trump, the Department of Justice, the Attorney General Pam Bondi and other defendants did not identify a cause or provided the due process.
“In truth, there is no legitimate explanation. Rather, the defendants fired Mrs. Comey only or substantially because her father is the former FBI director James B. Comey, or for her perceived political affiliation and beliefs, or both,” said the demand, referring to the former FBI director that Trump fired During his first mandate as president because he initiated the investigation into the accusations of Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
“The politically motivated termination of Mrs. Comey, apparently under” article II of the Constitution, “restores the basic principles of our democracy and justice system. The United States attendees of the United States such as Mrs. Comey must do their job without fearing or favoring any political or perspective party, guided alone by law, facts and the search for justice,” said the law.
A representative of the Department of Justice declined to comment on the lawsuit when he was contacted by ABC News.
Comey said he had just assigned a high -profile public corruption case when he received an email on July 16 at 4:57 pm with a memorandum informing him that “his employment with the Department of Justice is terminated, and is removed from the federal service validly immediately.”

According to the lawsuit, Comey’s supervisors “were visibly shocked and annoying,” and Jay Clayton, the United States prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, did not provide any explanation.
“All I can say is that Washington came. I can’t tell you anything else,” the demand cited Clayton, how to tell Comey.
Comey’s lawyers said the president lacks the authority to fire ordinary federal prosecutors, who are public officials, for perceived disloyalty.
“Neither the President nor the Department of Justice have unlimited authority to eliminate the prosecutors of the United States,” said the lawsuit.
Comey seeks restoration along with the subsequent payment.
