Donald Trump won the 2024 elections, and popular vote, last November when producing Republican voters and building a more diverse coalition than other republican presidential candidates in past years.
He also improved his performance with younger voters, a demographic demon has dominated for a long time. That was thanks in large part available to social media platforms and in communities aimed at helping prominent personalities such as Charlie Kirk.
“We crush the youth vote, even the Democrats recognize it,” Kirk said in an appearance this year in the Cambridge union in the United Kingdom. “Both young men and young women moved dramatically.”
John Della Volpe, survey director at the Harvard Kennedy School Policy Institute, who has studied young voters, said the greatest success of the Kirk organization occurred with getting Trump and other Republican leaders to buy their vision.
“Donald Trump is not president today without the support of young men, and Charlie Kirk deserves and deserves credit not only for organizing young men, but persuades a generation before listening and investing,” he told ABC News.
Kirk’s name was omnipresent in focal groups with young voters, he added.

“People acknowledged that they could show an element of strength and masculinity unlike others and what they appreciate was that, although many do not agree with their positions or rhetoric, they give them credit to present themselves and take questions and freedom of expression,” said Della Volpe.
Kirk expanded in his strategy in an interview with the governor of California Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, last March.
“Just around 2021 we had a goal: could we move the youth vote ten points for ten years?” Kirk told Newsom in the first episode of the new podcast of the governor. “We believed that the Democrats were giving them for granted … President Trump harmonized with the strategy when going to the podcasts, going to Tiktok.”

In the last five presidential elections, the Democrats won the White House when they captured at least 60% of young voters, a reference that Kamala Harris did not meet, winning 54% of voters under 30, compared to 43% of Trump.
“When the Democrats earn 60% of the youth votes, they win elections,” said Della Volpe. “The work of a Republican is to reduce that margin.”
According to ABC News Exit Polling, Trump served better with voters under 30, winning 43% to 54% of Harris, than any republican presidential candidate since 2004, when George W. Bush won 45% of voters under 30 years.
Trump even drew with Harris with men under 30 (49% for their 48%), an improvement of 8 points of the presidential elections of 2020.
Harris won 61% of young women, compared to 38% of Trump.

In Michigan’s key state, Trump won 50% of young voters, compared to 47% for Harris. In Wisconsin, it won 48% of those voters, compared to 49% for Harris; In Pennsylvania, it won 44% of young voters votes compared to 55%.
In these three “blue wall” states that Trump turned to 2024, improved his performance of 2020 with voters under 30 years of 9-13 points, according to the state, according to ABC News Polling output.
Nationally, Trump also won 57% of young whites without university titles, compared to 40% for Harris.
In the state of Sun Belt Swing in Arizona, Kirk’s native state, Harris managed to win 65% of voters under 30 years. But the Democrats lost ground with Latin voters and other groups of voters that the Republicans could motivate, giving Trump the advantage.
That may also have been partially due to Kirk’s efforts as an organizer.
Despite his hug of false claims of stolen elections in 2020, and after the Republican candidates were closed from the state office in Arizona in 2022, Kirk and his group established a program of “voting hunters” in 2024.

It was an effort of more than $ 100 million to reach and mobilize hundreds of thousands of low -prosestity Trump supporters in battlefield states such as Arizona and Wisconsin, and make them vote early and potentially by mail, despite Trump’s public doubts about mail vote.
It was one of the many external programs that effectively constitute the subcontracted land game of the Trump campaign.
“I’m not sure I moved many people, but organized many people who shared their views,” said Della Volpe.
The Republicans discussed the proportion of “Turning Point USA” by Credit Kirk deserved their contributions to the broader effort, but Trump and his campaign accredited Kirk’s work and his organization to take them to victory last year.
“Charlie Kirk will tell him, Tiktok helped, but Charlie Kirk also helped,” Trump said at the White House in May about Kirk’s contributions to his winning campaign. “He has done very well and appreciate all the aid.”
