Multiple victims of minneapolis shooting released from the hospital, says the police chief

It is expected that the 14 children injured in Wednesday’s mass shooting in Minneapolis survive, said the city chief of the city at a press conference on Wednesday night, and some victims have already been given from the hospital.

An 8 and 10 -year -old boy sitting in banks were killed when a shooter opened fire through the windows of a church at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis at 8:30 am Wednesday morning, police said.

Seventeen people were injured, police said. Fourteen of wounded victims were children from 6 to 15 years, while the three adults who were killed were parishioners in their 80 years, O’Hara said.

The FBI identified the shooter as Robin Westman, 23, who was born Robert Westman. The suspect died in the place of a self -inflicted gunshot wound, police said.

The officers recovered three weapons, a rifle, a shotgun and a gun, on the scene, all of which are believed to be fired in the attack. All were legally bought by the suspect, authorities said.

O’Hara told journalists on Wednesday night that the authorities have four search warrants for the Church and three residences linked to the alleged shooter in the Minneapolis metropolitan area.

The officers recovered electronics related to the suspect, but not other firearms, said O’Hara. Police are now working through dozens of pages of documents with FBI assistance in the hope of identifying a reason.

“It was premeditated, we believe,” said O’Hara, but added that researchers have not yet established a reason. The suspect had no criminal record, police said.

O’Hara said that additional police patrols will be provided as children return to school in the metropolitan area during this week.
